Engine assembly sequence (Taurus 1 and 2)

Reassemble the engine in the following sequence:

• new camshaft bearings (and on 3.8LV6 engines also balance shaft bearings);
• piston rings;
• crankshaft and main bearings;
• piston assemblies with connecting rods;
• camshaft and tappets;
• camshaft drive chain and sprockets;
• cylinder head(s), pushrods and pushrod arms;
• camshaft timing chain cover;
• oil pump;
• oil pan;
• intake and exhaust manifolds;
• timing cover(s);
• flywheel/drive plate.
