Replacing the camshaft sealing ring (Escort 4)

1. Remove the timing belt from the camshaft pulley.

2. Unscrew and remove the toothed pulley from the camshaft, holding the pulley from turning with a rod or screwdriver.

3. Using the appropriate tool, remove the sealing ring.

4. Lubricate the working edges of the new sealing ring and install the sealing ring in place using the bushing and the toothed pulley mounting bolt.

5. Install the toothed pulley and tighten its mounting bolt.

6. Install the timing belt and adjust its tension.
