Removal
Open the boot lid and mark the position of the hinges with a pencil. If present, disconnect the electrical connector and the earth busbar of the central locking motor of the boot lid. Tie a long strong cord to the end of the wires and pull the wires out of the boot. Untie the wires from the cord and leave it in the boot lid (see Fig. 11.48).
Place a clean cloth under the corners of the trunk lid. Unscrew the bolts securing the trunk lid and remove it.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. After installing the cover, check that the gap along its perimeter and the car body elements is the same everywhere in the closed position. If necessary, adjust the position of the cover by loosening the mounting bolts and, moving the cover within the elongated installation holes, find the required position.
