Withdrawal

To facilitate the subsequent installation of electrical wires or water supply hoses, a cord should be tied to their ends before removal. After pulling out the wires and hoses, leave the cord in the back door. When installed with a cord, the wires and hoses are easily put into place.

Open the rear door, unscrew the 7 fixing screws and remove the rear door trim. Using a soft pencil, mark the mounting positions of the round hinges on the tailgate. Remove the plug under the rear window washer nozzle and disconnect the hose from the nozzle. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector from the rear door lock. Unscrew the ground bar. Remove the water supply hose and electrical wires from the rear door. Untie the cord from the water supply hose and electrical wires and leave them in the door (see fig. 11.50).

Remove the damper on the ball head on the tailgate. To do this, lift the fastening of the gas-filled stop. Raise the mount by a maximum of 4 mm. otherwise the damper will be damaged.

Unscrew bolts of fastening of the hinge of a back door and remove a door (see fig. 11.51).

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. After closing the rear door, check the uniformity of the gaps around the perimeter of the door. If adjustment is necessary, loosen the hinge bolts and move the door within the elongated holes to adjust its position.
