Hood lock cable (Escort 5)

Removal

Open the hood and disconnect the cable from the hood lock. Disconnect the cable sheath from the lock (see Fig. 11.11).

Working inside the vehicle, remove the 4 screws and the lower steering column cover. Disconnect the cable from the hood release lever and remove the cable into the engine compartment (see Fig. 11.12).

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
