Removal
Open the hood and lock it in the open position.
Release the retaining clips and remove the soundproofing panel from the back of the hood. Remove the windshield washer hose, close it with a suitable plug and release it from the fasteners on the hood. Unscrew the fastening screw and disconnect the ground bus from the hood near the left hinge. If present, disconnect the connector from the heated windshield wiper nozzles. Release the wires from the fasteners on the hood and hinges.
To properly install the hood in place, mark the position of the hinges on the hood with a soft pencil. With the help of an assistant, unscrew 2 bolts on each side of the hood and remove the hood.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Align the hood according to the previously made marks and screw on the bolts. Adjust the position of the hood so that when the hood is closed, the gap around the perimeter of the hood is the same on all sides. To adjust the front of the hood in height, screw in or unscrew the rubber cushions located on the front of the engine compartment.
