Cylinder head

Removal
1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
2. Drain the liquid from the cooling system. If the liquid has been used for less than two years and is not contaminated, it can be reused.
3. Disconnect the flexible hose of the engine crankcase ventilation system from the cylinder head cover and the air supply hose between the air filter and the radiator casing (the hose is put on the fittings).
4. Disconnect all flexible cooling system lines from the cylinder head.
5. Remove the air filter.
6. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum line and the vacuum pump oil return line.
7. Disconnect the electrical wires from the glow plugs, oil pressure sensor, coolant temperature sensor and radiator fan thermal switch.
8. Disconnect the fuel return lines from the injectors.
9. Disconnect the injection lines from the fuel pump and injectors.
10. Disconnect the vacuum line from the fuel pump.
11. Disconnect the thermostat cover from the cylinder head.
12. Disconnect the fuel lines from the pump and fuel filter.
13. Disconnect the vacuum line from the intake manifold.
14. Remove the coolant pump and alternator V-belts.
15. Remove the timing belt covers.
16. Remove the inspection hole plug of the crankshaft installation mandrel from the cylinder block at the height of the crankshaft pulley.
17. Turn the crankshaft so that the fuel pump pulley notch is at the 12 o'clock position.
18. Install a mandrel in the cylinder block to set the crankshaft to the TDC position of piston No.1 cylinder.
19. Rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise until it stops against the mandrel.
20. Remove the timing belt tensioner roller and then the timing belt.
21. Remove the passive pulley (which increases the timing belt wrap angle) and the rear timing belt cover.
22. Unscrew the injectors.
23. Remove the cylinder head cover.
24. Loosen the ten cylinder head bolts in the reverse order of tightening.
25. Remove the cylinder head.
