Withdrawal



1. Loosen the wheel bolts, raise the front of the vehicle and remove the wheel.

2. Loosen the wheel hub nut.

3. Unscrew the brake caliper mounting bolts and hang it from the suspension strut.

4. Remove the hub.

5. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the nut of the tie rod end and, using a puller, remove it from the steering knuckle.

6. Unscrew the nut and remove the clamping bolt securing the ball joint of the suspension arm to the steering knuckle.

7. Unscrew the coupling bolt of the strut to the steering knuckle, insert tool 14-026 into the groove of the steering knuckle and turn it 90°, spreading the suspension strut mount. In the absence of a fixture, the rack mount can be spread with the appropriate lever.

8. Press the steering knuckle down (until the rack is completely free).

9. Place a support under the drive shaft or tie the shaft to the steering rack housing.

10. Press the drive shaft out of the hub.

11. Remove the dust ring from the groove in the steering knuckle.

12. Remove inner and outer o-rings.

13. Remove bearings.

Installation



1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

2. After installing the outer races of the bearings, fill the inside of the bearings with grease, especially between the rollers.

3. After tightening, secure the wheel hub nut from unscrewing by tapping the collar of the nut into the groove of the drive shaft.
