Set the selector lever to position "D". Lightly press the accelerator pedal, accelerating the vehicle. The shift from 1st to 2nd gear should occur at a speed below 30 km/h. From 2nd to 3rd gear at a speed below 60 km/h. With the accelerator pedal fully depressed (in the "kick-down" position), the engine crankshaft speed at the moment of shifting from 1st to 2nd gear should be 4800-6200 rpm. From 2nd to 3rd gear 5000-5800 rpm.
If conditions do not allow testing the vehicle at the speed of transition from II to III gear, then perform the following check: When the vehicle is moving at a speed of 75 km/h and the selector lever is in the "O" position, press the accelerator pedal all the way down, II gear should automatically engage. If at a speed of 90 km/h you move the selector lever from position "D" to position "1", then the transition to II gear should occur immediately, and the transition to I gear at a speed of 60 to 35 km/h.
The parking brake should hold the vehicle on a steep slope when the selector lever is in the "P" position.
