Withdrawal


Raise the rear of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the corresponding rear wheel. Remove the rear brake pads. Clamp the rear brake hose with a clamp.

loosen (but don't screw up) fastening the brake hose to the caliper Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the caliper and remove it from the disc (see fig. 9.39).



Rotate the caliper and unscrew it from the brake hose. Plug the hose.

Disassembly


Wipe the caliper free of dirt and dust. Remove pistons from caliper. To do this, low-pressure air can be injected into the brake hose connection hole. Remove the dust caps from the grooves in the pistons and the o-rings from the caliper bores. Clean all parts of the caliper with alcohol or clean brake fluid and wipe them clean. Inspect pistons and caliper for wear and other damage. Lubricate the caliper cylinder and o-rings with clean brake fluid and install them in the caliper cylinders.

Install the dust covers on the pistons so that their inner diameter fits into the piston grooves. Insert the pistons into the caliper and at the same time press the dust covers into the caliper until they are firmly seated

Installation


Remove the plug from the brake hose and screw the caliper onto it. Install the caliper and secure with two bolts. Finally tighten the brake hose to the caliper.

Install the brake pads. Remove air from the brake system. Install the wheel and lower the car.
