The ends of the tubes are crimped and tapered to fit the corresponding size of the tapered threaded holes in the brake cylinders or distributors. Before the ends of the tubes are crimped, a lock nut is placed on them, which, after screwing the tapered surface into the tapered base of the threaded hole, presses and seals the tube.
Brake hoses provide movable connections between the moving and fixed parts of the vehicle. To reduce the loss of brake fluid when removing the working brake cylinders, use clamps to squeeze the brake hoses (see Fig. 9.48).
