Auxiliary dosing device
1 – hose from the throttle valve fitting;
2 – auxiliary dosing device connector
The auxiliary metering device valve must be open when the engine is warming up and closed when the engine is warm.
The check is performed on a cold engine.
Examination
1. Remove the connector from the auxiliary metering device.
2. Start the engine and measure the voltage at the contacts of the removed connector, which should be at least 11.5 volts. If there is no voltage, check the control relay and the electrical power supply circuit.
3. Connect the connector and bend the hose from the throttle valve fitting, while the cold engine speed should decrease sharply. After the engine warms up, bending the hose from the throttle valve fitting does not lead to a change in engine speed.
4. Turn off the engine, remove the connector from the auxiliary metering device and measure the resistance at the device terminals.
5. If the resistance is infinity (open winding), replace the auxiliary metering device and reconnect the connector.
