Examination
1. Remove the connector from the temperature controller.
2. Turn on the ignition and measure the voltage at the pins of the removed connector, which should be at least 11.5 volts.
3. Turn off the ignition and measure the resistance between the terminals of the regulator. If the resistance is infinity (winding break), replace the regulator and connect the connector.
Replacement
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery and the connector from the temperature controller.
2. Clean the fuel hoses and release the pressure in the fuel system by carefully unscrewing the hollow bolt of the fuel supply hose, and then unscrew the fuel return hose.
3. Unscrew 2 fixing screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the regulator.
4. Install the regulator in the reverse order of removal.
