The gear shift mechanism includes the gear shift lever, mechanism housing, rod and stabilizer.

Removal and disassembly



1. Engage 4th gear.

2. Unscrew the handle from the gear shift lever and remove the cover.

3. Raise the vehicle and secure it on stands.

4. Remove the rear part of the muffler from the suspension.

5. Remove the return spring from the gear shift rod.

6. Loosen the clamp bolt on the end of the gear shift rod and remove the rod from the gear selector shaft by sliding it away from the gearbox.

7. Unscrew the bolt securing the stabilizer to the gearbox.

8. From underneath the car, unscrew the bolts securing the gearshift lever housing from the floor and remove the housing together with the stabilizer.

9. Unscrew the bolts securing the stabilizer to the body, disconnect the gear shift lever together with the cover and remove it together with the stabilizer.



10. Disconnect the gear shift rod from the housing.

11. Remove the retaining ring, rubber spring, and gasket from the gear shift lever and remove the lever.

12. Assembly and installation of the gear shift mechanism is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Adjustment



1. Engage 4th gear.

2. Raise the vehicle and secure it on stands.

2. Raise the vehicle and secure it on stands.


3. Using a 3.5mm pin, secure the gear shift lever into the hole at the bottom of the gear selector box.

4. Install, adjust if necessary and tighten the gearshift rod with the clamping bolt. To set the same clearances, set the gearshift lever shaft to the fourth gear position and rotate it clockwise until it stops and in this position tighten the clamping bolt and remove the pin.

5. Lower the car.
