The main malfunctions of the FORD ATX gearbox

Delayed operation during manual shifting occurs when the shift rod is damaged or incorrectly adjusted, the return rods are not adjusted correctly, and the oil is contaminated.

Hard engagement when shifting gears occurs at elevated idle speeds, continued operation of the starting device on a hot engine, and violation of the adjustment of the return rods.

Torque is not transmitted in all positions of the lever in case of damage or shift rod.

The engine does not start in positions "N" And "R" lever in case of violation of the adjustment of the engine start interlock switch or incorrect adjustment of the shift rod.

In lever position "1" And "2" there is no engine braking in case of violation of the adjustment of the return rods or the shift rod.

Oil leakage is possible through sealing rings, gaskets, and also when the ventilation channel of the gearbox crankcase is clogged.
