Checking the oil level in the FORD ATX box

            0

To ensure normal and durable operation of the gearbox, it is necessary to maintain an optimal oil level. Checking the oil level should be done every 20,000 km of the car.

The oil level gauge is located in the engine compartment.

Oil is topped up through the tube for installing the oil level indicator. Oil specification: ESP-M2C166-H. Do not mix this oil with other oils or use any additives.

1. Heat the oil in the gearbox to a temperature of 40-60°C. To do this, you can travel a short distance.

2. The vehicle must be parked on a level surface with the parking brake applied. With the engine running at idle, press the brake pedal and alternately set the gear selector lever to all positions 3 times.

3. Then set the lever to the position "R" and let the engine idle for another 1 minute, then turn off the engine.

4. Remove the oil level indicator. The top edge of the oil must be between the marks "MIN" And "MAX" on the level indicator.

5. Also check the oil on the level gauge for smell and color. Black or dark brown indicates worn clutches or bands. The dark color of the oil and the smell of burning indicate burnt lining.

6. If the oil level is below "MIN", you should check the tightness of the gearbox and oil cooler.

7. If the torque converter is not filled with oil, it is forbidden to start the engine and tow the vehicle.
