Air damper gap adjustment

1 – membrane rod; 2 - an elastic band that fixes the leash lever; 3 - screwdriver; 4 - driving lever

Adjustment of the air damper gap must be made after disassembling the carburetor or in case of insufficient engine performance.

1. Remove the earth wire from the battery and the air filter.

2. Unscrew the 3 flange fixing screws, remove the flange and starter cover.

3. Remove shield ring.

4. Set throttle lever to full open position.

5. Move the trigger lever up until the air dampers are completely closed and release the throttle actuator lever.

6. Fix the leash lever in the upper position with an elastic band.

7. Use a screwdriver to push the diaphragm rod in until it stops.

8. Measure with a calibrated rod (can shank drill) (1) air damper gap (2 - screwdriver, 3 - throttle actuator lever).

9. If the gap does not correspond to the required value, remove the protective cap from the adjusting screw and, turning the adjusting screw with a screwdriver, set the required gap.

10. Install the protective cap in the membrane cover and remove the rubber band.

Intermediate gap adjustment

11. Slightly turn the throttle actuator lever and, by rotating the stepped washer (1), install it so that its upper edge touches the adjusting screw (2).

12. Release the throttle actuator lever, as a result of which the stepped washer is fixed.

13. Measure with a calibrated rod (can shank drill) air damper gap.

14. If the gap does not correspond to the required value, bend the tongue to one side or the other and set the required gap.

15. Install the shield ring.

16. Install starter cover.

17. Install the air filter and connect the ground wire to the battery.
