Removal and installation
1. Remove the earth wire from the battery and the air filter.
2. Remove the wires from the automatic starter.
3. Remove fuel hoses.
4. Unscrew the 6 bolts securing the carburetor cover and, being careful, remove it.
5. Remove the float shaft and remove the float.
6. Remove needle valve.
7. Unscrew the needle valve body.
8. Before installation, check the condition of the conical surface of the needle point.
9. Screw in the needle valve body with a new copper gasket.
10. Insert needle valve, float and float shaft.
Check float adjustment
11. Install the top of the carburetor so that the needle valve is closed, but the valve ball must not be recessed.
12. Measure the distance from the top of the carburetor gasket to the bottom of the float.
13. If the resulting size does not match the required one, bend the persistent tongue (shown by arrow) on the float.
14. Install the upper part of the carburetor and the remaining previously removed elements.
