Removal and installation
1. Remove the ground cable from the battery and the air filter.
2. Remove the wires from the automatic starting device.
3. Remove the fuel hoses.
4. Unscrew the 6 bolts securing the carburetor cover and remove it carefully.
5. Remove the float axle and remove the float.
6. Remove the needle valve.
7. Unscrew the needle valve body.
8. Before installation, check the condition of the conical surface of the needle tip.
9. Screw in the needle valve body with a new copper gasket.
10. Insert the needle valve, float and float shaft.
Checking the float adjustment
11. Position the top of the carburetor so that the needle valve is closed, but the valve ball is not recessed.
12. Measure the distance from the carburetor top gasket to the bottom of the float.
13. If the obtained size does not correspond to the required one, bend the stop tongue (shown by the arrow) on the float.
14. Install the top part of the carburetor and the rest of the previously removed elements.
