Fastening the cable to the heater

1. Remove the left trim under the front panel. To do this, use a screwdriver to release 3 clamps, bend 2 tabs near the pedals and remove the trim.
2. Set the control handles down, 2 mm short of the stop (cars manufactured before the end of 1985).
3. Turn the left and right control knobs to the left, 2 mm short of the stop (cars manufactured since 1986).
4. Disconnect the two air ducts at the bottom.

5. Unscrew the bolts (indicated by arrows) securing the heater control cables.

6. Adjust the position of the cables so that the heater flap is in the "cold" position and the air supply flap is completely closed. Secure the heater control cable sheaths in this position.
7. Connect the air ducts and install the lower trim.
