Headlining — Removal and Installation (Escort 4)

1. Remove the windshield, rear side windows and their seals.

2. Remove the door frame and rear door seal from above.

3. Remove the interior light.

4. Remove sun visors.

5. Remove the upper grab handles in the passenger compartment.

6. Release the upper edges of the decorative trim of the pillar panels.

7. Remove the holders from the upper parts of the door openings.

8. Remove the rear headliner retainer clip.

9. Carefully remove the headlining.

10. Before installing the headliner, check the reliability of the fastening of the noise-absorbing pads, mounting arcs, check the headliner, replace the adhesive tape on the door openings and around the lampshade.

11. Install the headliner exactly in the center and secure it in each opening with at least two clamps, while the upholstery must be properly stretched.

12. Install all previously removed elements in the reverse order of removal.
