Fastening the rear bumper to the body

Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the license plate light connector.
Cars manufactured before the end of 1985
2. Lift the trunk trim and unscrew 2 bumper mounting nuts on each side.
3. Remove the bumper by sliding it back, while simultaneously releasing it from the side fasteners. If the side fastener is damaged, turn it 90°, remove it and install a new clamp.
4. Remove the bumper together with the brackets.
Cars manufactured since 1986
5. Unscrew the 3 screws (indicated by arrows) securing the bumper to the rear wing of the car.
6. Lift the trunk trim and unscrew 2 bumper mounting nuts on each side.
7. Remove the bumper by sliding it backwards.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
