Removal and installation
Cars manufactured before the end of 1985
1. Set both control knobs all the way up.
2. Remove the fan switch by prying it up with a screwdriver.
3. Lift the bottom part of the panel up, pull it towards you and disengage the top part.
4. Unscrew the screws and remove the control mechanism.
Cars manufactured since 1986
1. Remove the three control handles.
2. Unscrew the two screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the panel, first removing the lower part and then the upper part.
3. Disconnect the dashboard backlight wire connector.
