Removal
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Unscrew the four mounting bolts and remove the valve train assembly from the cylinder head.

Inspection
To remove the rocker arm shaft assembly, remove the pin from one end of the shaft, then remove the spring and washers from the shaft.
Slide the rocker arms, bearings, and coil springs off the shaft and place them in the same order they were installed (see Fig. 2A.9, 2A.10).

Clean and check the parts for wear. Check that the oil holes in the shaft are clean.
Check the working surfaces of the rocker shaft and levers for wear. Replace worn parts if necessary
Installation
Lubricate the valve rocker shaft with fresh engine oil.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the groove in the washer at the rear end of the valve rocker shaft is located on the side of the rocker arm mounting screws. This is necessary for proper lubrication of the cylinder head components (see Fig. 2A.11).

Install the rocker arm shaft assembly. Check that the valve adjusting screws contact the tappets.
Tighten the valve rocker shaft mounting bolts first by hand, then finally to the required torque.
Adjust the valve clearances.
