Cylinder head cover (Escort 5)

Removal

Remove the air supply system and air filter where necessary. Remove the spark plug wires. Remove the engine oil filler cap and crankcase ventilation hose.

Unscrew the four mounting bolts and remove the cylinder head cover together with the gasket.

Installation

Clean the cylinder head cover and the mating surface on the cylinder head thoroughly. Install a new gasket on the cylinder head cover, then install the cover on the head. Tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque, in a diagonal sequence (see Fig. 2A.4, 2A.5).





Reconnect the high voltage wires and install the air filter.
