Attention: It is recommended to change the coolant on a cold engine.
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Carefully unscrew the cap of the expansion tank of the cooling system.
Place a container under the radiator to collect the fluid that flows out of the cooling system.
Unscrew the drain plug on the radiator (see Fig. 2E.40).
Unscrew the drain plug on the engine cylinder block, located below the vacuum pump (see Fig. 2E.41). Screw in both drain plugs (in the radiator and in the engine cylinder block).
Unscrew the cooling system deaerator bolt located in the upper elastic radiator hose (see Fig. 2E.42).
Fill the coolant through the hole in the expansion tank until it starts to flow out from under the cooling system bleeder bolt. Screw in the cooling system bleeder bolt. Fill the coolant to the maximum level corresponding to the "MAX" sign on the tank body. Start the engine. Fill the expansion tank with coolant again to the "MAX" level. Screw in the expansion tank cap.
Check the tightness of the cooling system connections.
