Engine cooling system

The sealed type cooling system includes a pump, an aluminum radiator. expansion tank, electric radiator fan and thermostat. When starting a cold engine, coolant circulates around the cylinder block, cylinder head, and exhaust manifold. The warm coolant passes through the heater core and returns to the water pump. Since the coolant expands when heated, its level in the expansion tank rises. The flow of coolant through the radiator is closed, which ensures a closed thermostat. When the coolant reaches a predetermined temperature, the thermostat opens and hot coolant flows through the top hose to the radiator. As the coolant flows down through the radiator, it is cooled by the flow of oncoming air. Electric radiator cooling fan mounted behind the radiator. controlled by a thermal sensor.

Heating system

The heating system consists of a fan. heater core and hoses.

Attention. When opening the expansion tank cap on a hot engine. care must be taken. because Hot vapors escaping can cause severe burns.

Attention. Do not allow coolant to come into contact with clothing or body paintwork. Otherwise, rinse the surface with plenty of water.

Attention. After turning off a hot engine, the radiator fan may turn on.
