Accelerator cable

Withdrawal

Remove the negative terminal from the battery.

Remove the trim panel under the dashboard on the driver's side and unscrew the floor carpet to access the accelerator pedal.

Disconnect the accelerator cable from the pedal. Remove the air filter housing.

Rotate the throttle control lever to release tension on the cable, then disconnect the cable from the throttle control lever.

Separate the cable sheath from the suspension and remove the cable.

Installation

Installation is done in sequence. reverse withdrawal. After installing the accelerator cable, the assistant should press the pedal all the way. Check that the throttle valve opens and closes fully When the throttle valve is fully closed, there should be some slack in the accelerator cable. If adjustment is required, then release the cable sheath fastening bracket on the injector and moving the cable sheath, make the adjustment, then fix the cable sheath with the bracket.
