Quick-release couplings are used to connect fuel lines.
Before disconnecting any part of the fuel system, relieve the pressure in the system and equalize the pressure in the fuel tank with the atmospheric pressure by unscrewing the filler cap.
To disconnect the coupling, press the coupling locking tabs together and pull the coupling towards you. To avoid mixing up the couplings during assembly, they are identified by marks of the same color.
To reconnect the pipes, press both halves of the coupling together and squeeze them until the locking tabs snap into the groove of the coupling half.
If it is necessary to replace any section of the fuel lines, it is necessary to use tubes and hoses similar to those previously installed.
Before disconnecting any part of the fuel system, note the direction of all hoses and pipes and the orientation of all clamps and brackets.
