Accelerator cable (Fiesta 4)

            0

The connection between the accelerator pedal and the throttle valve is carried out by the accelerator cable. In itself, it is an inconspicuous structural element, however, if it moves stiffly and does not provide a smooth rotation of the throttle valve, the smoothness of the engine operation is disrupted when changing its operating modes. In extreme cases, the engine will howl every time you turn on or change gears, since the return spring will not be able to quickly close the throttle valve. If these symptoms appear, drip a few drops of engine oil onto the cable every time you open the hood and even more after washing the engine.
