Checking the idle speed actuator (Fiesta 4)

SEQUENCE OF WORKS

1. Start the engine and let it idle.

2. Turn on the maximum number of electrical consumers. If the car is equipped with power steering, turn the front wheels as far as they will go.

3. The engine crankshaft speed should decrease briefly and then return to the nominal speed.

4. After disconnecting the connector from the actuator engine, the engine should stall.

5. If the engine continues to run, replace the idle speed control motor.
