CAUSE
ELIMINATION METHOD
Incomplete clutch disengagement (clutch "leads"). With this malfunction, forward gear shifting is difficult, and reverse gear engages with noise or does not engage at all
Disk Warping The end runout of the clutch disc must not exceed 0.4 mm
Jamming of the driven clutch disc on the splines of the input shaft. This malfunction may occur after prolonged or improper use of the vehicle, due to contamination or wear of the splines Clean or replace splines
Jammed clutch cable, clutch release lever or clutch pedal Clean and lubricate parts with multipurpose grease
Clutch cable wear Replace cable
Incomplete clutch engagement (clutch slipping "). Signs of this malfunction: insufficient acceleration of the car, despite a sharp increase in engine speed with the gear engaged and the clutch pedal released, loss of speed when driving uphill, increased fuel consumption, there is a specific smell from burning clutch disc linings
Worn or burnt friction linings Clutch pads or disc need to be replaced
Friction linings are oily, this is possible when the gearbox sealing rings are worn Replace o-rings
