Removing and installing the brake light switch (Escort 4)

1. Remove the left trim under the instrument panel by releasing the 3 clamps and pressing the metal fasteners.

2. Remove the connector from the switch, unscrew the lock nut and remove the switch.



3. The switch is adjusted by turning the adjusting nut (indicated by the arrow) so that the brake lights do not come on during the first 5 mm of brake pedal travel.
