Withdrawal

Unscrew the selector lever handle and remove the decorative cover from the center console.

Unscrew the screws securing the center console (2 in the back and 4 in the front). Remove the center console by sliding it along the handbrake lever. Using a screwdriver as a lever, remove the selector lever guide plate. Remove the rod from the lever by wringing out the plastic eye with a screwdriver (see fig. 7B.2).

Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the front wheels. Working under the vehicle, remove the linkage from the transmission.

Remove the rubber plug from the bottom of the car and remove the gear selector rod.

Installation

Insert the gear selector rod through the hole in the bottom of the vehicle and the rubber plug.

Connect the rod to the selector lever. In this case, the annular protrusion should be directed towards the lever pin. For a clear fixation of the rod on the selector lever, use pliers (see fig. 7B.3).

Set the selector lever to position "R", raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on stands.

Connect draft to a transmission.

Adjustment

Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands.

Remove the gear selector rod from the shift lever on the gearbox. Turn the gear selector shaft on the gearbox until the parking lock engages. Check by turning the wheels. In this position, the hole in the shift shaft lever and the selector rod ends must line up. Otherwise it is necessary to change the length of the pull. To change the length of the rod, slide the rubber boot on the rod and, turning the fork in one direction or the other along the thread, align the holes on the rod and the lever. Install the locking clip of the rod on the lever, fix it and replace the cover.

Lower the car.
