Gas distribution system — specifications

The main element of the gas distribution system is the camshaft located in the cylinder head and driven by a toothed belt from the crankshaft.

Valve timing (measured at valve clearance)

• OZD and ZZD - opening and closing of the intake valve, respectively;
• OZW and ZZW - opening and closing of the exhaust valve, respectively.

Camshaft

The camshaft is supported by five bearings containing thin-walled liners.

Valve lift:
- inlet	10 mm
– graduation	9 mm
Axial play	0.1 - 0.24 mm
Bearing journal diameter	27.960 - 27.980 mm
Clearance in camshaft bearings	0.020 - 0.079 mm

Thermostat

The wax thermostat is located on the side of the cylinder head.

Opening start temperature: 84–89°C.

Full opening temperature: 102±3°C.
