Removal



1. Loosen the wheel mounting bolts one turn, raise the front of the car and remove the wheel.

2. Unscrew the lock nut securing the steering tip to the rod.

3. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the nut securing the steering tip to the steering knuckle.

4. Using a puller, remove the steering tip from the steering knuckle.

5. Unscrew the steering tip from the steering rod, accurately counting the number of turns of the steering tip.

Installation



1. Screw the steering tip onto the rod using the same number of turns as when unscrewing the tip.

2. Install the tip into the steering knuckle, screw in the nut and secure it from unscrewing with a cotter pin. If the cotter pin does not fit into the hole, screw in the nut until the grooves on the nut align with the hole.

3. Tighten the lock nut on the steering rod.

4. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle.
