Clutch release shaft and bushing

Withdrawal

Remove the clutch release bearing.

Unscrew the bolt securing the clutch release lever to the shaft. Note the relative position of the lever and shaft. Remove lever from shaft (see fig. 6.14).



Remove the protective cap from the top of the shaft. Use two screwdrivers to remove the bushing from the clutch housing and slide it up the shaft. If necessary, remove the clutch release shaft by lifting it up until it exits the lower shaft sleeve, then rotate and pull it down out of the clutch housing (see fig. 6.15).

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
