Check the accessory drive belt.

Follow all the steps listed above plus the following:
- Replace spark plugs - Zetec and Zetec-E engines only.
- Replace the coolant.
- Replace the air filter element
- Check the exhaust emission control system.
- Change the transmission oil.
- Check the handbrake adjustment.
Caution: If the vehicle is regularly used in dusty or dirty conditions, the air cleaner element must be replaced more frequently.
Every 96,000 km
Follow all the steps listed above plus the following:
- Replace the timing belt.
- Replace the fuel filter.
Every 3 years regardless of mileage
Replace the brake fluid.
