Checking the maximum speed and delay time

1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.

2. Connect a special device for measuring engine speed.

3. Move the control lever to the position of maximum fuel supply until it stops in the adjusting screw, for no more than 6 seconds, and measure the engine speed. If necessary, adjust the speed with the screw, after unscrewing the lock nut.

4. Check the time it takes for the engine to go from full speed to idle. It should not exceed 5 seconds.
