Fuel filter

Removing air
The air removal procedure must be carried out in the following cases:
- disconnecting the fuel line;
- air lock in the fuel pump fuel circuit;
- engine shutdown when there is no fuel in the fuel tank;
- replacing the fuel filter.
1. Unscrew the air bleed screw from the filter and pump with a hand pump until the flowing fuel no longer contains air bubbles.
2. Tighten the filter air bleed bolt.
3. If the injection pipes were replaced (or unscrewed), loosen the nuts that secure them to the injectors, press the accelerator pedal all the way down and turn on the starter until fuel starts to flow out from under the pipes with the loosened fastening.
4. Screw the fuel supply lines to the injectors and start the engine.
5. Check the tightness of all fuel line connections.
Removing water
1. Close the clutch housing to prevent fuel from getting into it.
2. Place a suitable container under the filter.
3. Unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the filter and loosen the air bleed bolt at the top of the filter by one turn.
4. Drain the water until clean fuel appears.
5. Screw in the drain plug and air bleed bolt.
