Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery Disconnect the air supply hose 8 engine from the air filter housing (see fig. 4D.1).



Disconnect the electrical connector from the air flow sensor. Loosen the clamps and remove the sensor with the inlet hose from the air filter cover Move the air flow sensor with the hose to the side (see fig. 4D.2, 4D.3).





Disconnect the air supply pipe from the air filter housing Unscrew the nut securing the air filter housing, then lift the housing up sharply and remove it from the vehicle. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.


Elements of the air supply system


Remove the electrical connector for the intake air temperature sensor located in the air pipe. Loosen the mounting clamps and remove the air supply hose from the inlet tube or throttle body and from the air flow sensor (see fig. 4D.4, 4D.5).





Attention. There is a retainer at the end of the hose that must be aligned with the inlet tube guard.


If the additional pipe of the engine air supply system is fixed at the top of the engine, then disconnect the air supply hose, unscrew the 2 nuts and remove the air supply pipe. If the supply pipe is secured with a rubber belt, then unscrew the bolts and remove the belt. On PTE engines, to facilitate removal of the air supply pipe to the engine, remove the high-voltage wires from the spark plugs (see fig. 4D.6, 4D.7).






Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
