Removal
The intake manifold consists of two parts, scraped with bolts. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. Depressurize the fuel system. Remove the negative terminal from the battery. Remove the air supply pipe to the engine and disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle. Remove the fuel injectors and fuel line.
Label and disconnect the coolant pipes, vacuum pipes, and air supply hoses from the manifold. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the sensors in the intake manifold. Remove the bolts and remove the manifold from the cylinder head. Remove the gasket. Clean the mating surfaces of the manifold and cylinder head.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. When installing the manifold, use a new gasket. If necessary, add coolant to the cooling system.
