Removal
1. Remove the instrument cluster as described in Section 5.
2. With the parking brake applied, jack up the front of the vehicle and securely support it on supports.
3. Working under the vehicle, remove the bolt, pull out the retaining plate and disconnect the cable from the transmission.
4. Pull the cable through the engine compartment bulkhead and remove it from the engine compartment side.
Installation
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. When pulling the cable through the bulkhead, pass it through the sealing ring and align the colored stripe on the cable with the sealing ring. Route the cable so that it is clear of any moving parts that may rub against it, but do not kink it excessively.
