Removal



Models before 1995



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Loosen the retaining screws and remove the steering column covers.

3. Loosen the top nuts securing the column and allow the column to separate slightly. Loosen the instrument panel frame fixing screws, tilt the panel all the way and remove the instrument panel frame. Disconnect the switch connector to remove the trim.

4. Remove the four screws securing the instrument cluster, then slide the panel out far enough to disconnect the speedometer cable and wiring connectors from the back of the panel. Remove the instrument panel.

Models since 1995



5. Remove the steering column with multifunction switches as described in Section 4.

6. Unscrew the four screws and remove the instrument panel surround.

7. Remove the five screws securing the instrument cluster to the panel. After pulling the instrument cluster slightly out, disconnect the speedometer cable and the two multi-pin connectors from the back of the cluster, then remove the instrument cluster.

Installation



All models



8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Upon completion, check the operation of all devices and related components.
