Windscreen wiper/washer switch (Escort 5)

When the ignition is turned on, the following switch positions are possible:

1 - Moving the switch up one position turns on the normal wiper mode.

2 - Moving the switch up two positions turns on the accelerated wiper mode.

3 - Moving the switch down turns on the intermittent windshield wiper mode. The windshield wiper interval is set by turning the F knob (1 - short interval. 2 - long interval).

4 - When you press the button, the windshield washer operates. If the outside lighting is on, the headlight washers (if available) are turned on.

5 - Operation of the rear window wiper (moving the switch to the instrument panel).

6 - Operation of the rear window washer (further movement of the switch to the instrument panel).
