Anti-theft system

This system provides additional vehicle protection with a sound alarm. When the system is on, an audible alarm will sound if the doors, hood or tailgate are opened. The alarm will also sound when the ignition is turned on or the radio is removed while the system is on (see fig. 12.76).



The anti-theft system is activated every time any of the front doors is locked with the key. The system works on all doors, hood and trunk lid or tailgate whenever each door is individually locked with the key or if the central locking system is present and turned on.

An additional feature of the system is that if the system is turned on and the battery is disconnected, the system will turn on again when the battery is connected, so it is necessary to check that the system is turned off before removing the battery when carrying out repairs.

The system has a self-diagnosis device for faults, so when connecting special equipment, it is very easy to identify a system fault.
