The Escort model was produced with three- and five-door hatchback and station wagon bodies, with coupe and convertible bodies and in a cargo-passenger version, and the Orion model - with a sedan body. The family of engines installed on these cars is also numerous: GMA, GPA, GLA models with a working volume of 1117 cm³, JPA model - 1296 cm³, LPA, LUA models - 1597 cm³, LRA, L7 models - 1596 cm³. Four- and five-speed manual gearboxes were installed on these cars, and automatic gearboxes were installed on some cars. The total number of modifications exceeds thirty, the main technical characteristics of which are given in the tables below.
