G-type gearbox
Removal
1. With the parking brake applied, jack up the front of the vehicle and place it on supports.
2. From the cabin side, unscrew the screws securing the rubber boot with the retaining cap to the bottom and remove the boot up the lever.
3. Once under the vehicle, disconnect the spring from the gear shift lever and from the gearbox bracket.
4. Slide the lower protective cover up the lever and unscrew the plastic locking cap of the gearshift lever from the gearbox using a suitable sized wrench (see figure 2.4). Separate the shifter from the transmission and pull it out through the bottom of the car.

Installation
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
N-type gearbox

6. With the parking brake applied, jack up the front of the vehicle and place it on supports.
7. From the cabin side, unscrew the gear shift lever head and unscrew the screws securing the rubber boot and cover to the bottom. Remove the boot by sliding it up the gear shift lever.
8. Remove the screws securing the lower protective cover to the gear selector valve and remove the protective cover from the lever by pulling it upwards.
9. Once under the vehicle, unscrew the three bolts securing the gear shift lever to its linkage. Separate the shifter from the transmission and pull it out through the bottom of the car (see figure 2.9).

Installation
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
MT75 gearbox
Removal
11. From the cabin side, separate the rubber protective covering and rubber boot from the bottom and remove them up the lever.
12. Unscrew the three Torx bolts securing the lever to the gearbox, separate the lever and remove it (see Figure 2.12).

Installation
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. The correct position of the gearshift lever rubber boot is indicated by the words "Top Rear".
