Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. According to the engine type, please refer to section 3 and remove the air cleaner if access to the fuel pump is difficult.
3. Cover the starter with a plastic bag in case of fuel spillage.
4. Remove the clamps from the injector pipes, then unscrew the connecting nuts of the pipes on the injectors and the high-pressure fuel pump. Use a second wrench to hold the injector if necessary while removing the nuts. Cover open joints.
5. Carefully move the injector tubes away from the engine, being careful not to bend or deform them.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Please pay attention to the following points:
- a) Tighten all pipe connections first by hand, then tighten them completely once they are all connected;
- b) Tighten all connections to the specified torque. Make sure that the injector tubes are not deformed;
- c) Fill the fuel system as described in section 2, then start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
