Pic. 13.18. Fastening of the trunnion of the ball joint of the transverse arm of the independent front suspension in the steering knuckle: 1 - rubber protective cover; 2 – rotary fist; 3 - clamping bolt (insert it in front, tighten the new bolt nut to 50 Nm); 4 - trunnion of the ball joint with a recess

3. From below, install the trunnion of the ball joint of the transverse arm until it stops against the steering knuckle (pic. 13.18).

Further installation of the steering knuckle is carried out in the reverse order of removal. When installing, tighten the new drive shaft mounting nut to 270 Nm. Make sure that all brake elements move freely and that the brake hose does not touch the body and front suspension when turning the wheel. Use a new mounting bolt and tighten to 85 Nm.

4. Install the ABS sensor, the gap between the sensor pole and the rotor should be (1±0,7) mm. Tighten the sensor mounting bolt to 10 Nm.

5. Put the car on wheels. Press the brake pedal and tighten the wheel hub nut to 250 Nm.
