Removing the speakers

            0

Depending on the equipment and model, the Fiesta has four loudspeakers in the front door trim, two tweeters and two full range speakers. Two more broadband loudspeakers are installed in the side panels of the luggage compartment upholstery.

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Turn off the radio.

2. Remove an upholstery of a door.

3. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the speaker mounting screws and remove the speaker from the socket in the inner door panel.

4. Carefully disconnect both wires from the speaker (handle the connectors, not the wire). Original wire sets have specially shaped connectors. In order not to mix up the wires when connecting, mark them.

5. Installation of the speaker is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tweeters

The tweeters are attached to the interior door handle trim.

1. Turn off the radio.

2. Use a thin screwdriver to remove the plugs located in the recess of the lining of the inner door handle.

3. Remove the screws.

4. Lower the lining of the inner handle down, hang it up and remove it through the handle.

3. Remove the two speaker mounting bolts and remove it (pic. 16.17).

4. When installing the original speaker, be sure to ensure that the surround snaps into place in the holes provided.

5. Installation of a broadband speaker is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

PRACTICAL ADVICE

Dimensions of speakers installed additionally in the trunk

Before installing other speakers in the trunk, measure the sockets for the stock speakers and only then buy the right size speakers. The magnetic field generated by the large speakers may lock the rear seat belts and cause them to malfunction.
